The "Disciples of Christ" (DOC) is a Prison Sports Ministry which was started by Rev. Carlos Dawson in 2008 to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to prisons in the Central Mississippi and surrounding areas in MS and LA and to reach men for Christ who would not normally attend a Chapel or other Church services. DOC is a softball ministry and we use softball as a tool to draw men to us so we can share the life changing Gospel. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power of God bringing salvation to all who will respond with a contrite and broken heart over their sin and who are willing to repent or turn from their sin and to trust or walk in faith in Jesus Christ which is truth. The Bible or Holy Scriptures reveals Jesus Christ or Truth to anyone who will listen and obey its teachings. The current name was adopted in 2010. The ministry of DOC has been tremendous. We have seen multitudes of men come to know Jesus Christ as their savior. We continue to minster the Gospel of Jesus Christ with God's help as He opens doors and gives us health to do it.
